Spring is here!

Well, theoretically, anyway. It’s still a bit chilly in Northwest Washington, and some parts of the country still have snow on the ground. Nevertheless, it’s that time of year: time for Spring Cleanings (where we all finally clean our windows), baseball (where we watch the Yankees mow over everything in their path… eventually), and new ideas and projects.

So, here’s a look at what’s coming down the pipe this month:

*I started a short story called Daddy’s Little Girl at the tail end of February. It was supposed to serve as a sequel to my last published novel, The Favorite, but as March wore on and I got deeper into the project, I kept stopping and restarting, and came to the realization that it was too confining as a short story. I rethought the story and am now plotting it as a novella. Hopefully, I’ll have the first draft done by the end of May! Fingers crossed!

*I’ll be posting a couple of reviews for the books I’ve read so far this year: 2015’s The Girl With All The Gifts, and Ready Player One, now in theaters. As both these books have seen film adaptations, I’m going to see both the movies and compare them to the books. Stay tuned for that!

*I’m continuing to chip away at the edits for my upcoming novel, 4 play, more on that as it develops.

*It’s softball season, so periodically I’ll give updates on how my team (The Sledgehammers) is doing this year!

So, there we are, all primed and ready for Spring! Here’s hoping you get all the April showers you can handle. I’ll see you all soon!

P.S.: Subscribe to my page and get a free download code for The Favorite! You’ll be glad you did!
