NaNoWriMo Update: 28,415 Words

Hey, peeps, what's good?

Okay, now this is a weird number to celebrate. It's more than 25,000, true, but there's nothing round about it, nothing spectacular. It doesn't seem like a particular milestone or anything. So why does 28,415 get recognition?

Well, I recognize it partly because I'm a little late in realizing that my previous record for NaNoWriMo was 25,823. I passed that early Sunday morning, meaning everything I do now builds a new record. The other part is that I've passed the halfway point of the challenge but am not even close to the story's halfway point. I find that tremendously encouraging.

I will take this moment to give 28,415 its proper respect: three cheers, hear-hear.
