Hey everybody, what’s up?
As summer comes to an end, we approach the home stretch of this... rather unique year. I swear, if someone handed me a 2020 book back in 2012, and it told the story of this year without any dramatic enhancement, I would have dismissed it as the paranoid ramblings of a crazy person. War! Plague! Economic collapse! Murder hornets! I’m waiting for the super volcano at Yellowstone to erupt already!

Suffice it to say, I think I’ve had enough. And I’m sure you have too.
However, since the ride doesn’t stop, all we can do is try and look forward to the next loop in the rollercoaster. So, here’s more of what’s going on in my neck of the woods.
- I’ve finished 15,000 words of a first draft to my next project. I’m happy with that thought, and while it’s got some major editing to go through (and we all know how much I love that part), I like the general storyline. I won’t talk much about it yet, but a synopsis is coming soon.
- Athletes are using their platforms to finally force a step toward some change. The NBA agreed to turn its arenas into voting centers this November after players staged an impromptu strike during the playoffs. I’m happy to see this happen and I think it’s a positive sign of things to come.
- I have a new story up on the site! Searching for Ms. Hero is live today, and you can check it out or my other available short stories, Billy, or For a Good Time, Call, all for free!
So, there we are! Happy September!
